It has been proven that tracking your exercise progress is a huge motivating factor. If running, swimming or cycling is not your thing, I strongly urge you to give yoga a go. You may also want to try out one of the following tracking Apps:

Strava

Strava is popular among competitive runners because of its advanced GPS-tracking features. The app provides basic stats like pace, elevation, distance and heartrate-monitor connection. Strava also has its own fitness community, where you and your friends can connect and keep one another motivated.

Peloton Digital

You don't need a Peloton bike or tread machine to take advantage of its awesome running programs. The Peloton Digital app has expanded to include outdoor runs, where a Peloton trainer does the workout with you and guides you through a curated outdoor run, complete with music to keep you motivated.

Zwift

Ride virtual roads, enjoy structured workouts or take part in social group rides. The at-home training game connects cyclists around the world.

Swim IO

Record your lengths, strokes and times, follow a plan or join a virtual challenge to do famous ocean swims all over the world.

GoSwim

An app ideal for beginners to advanced swimmers. You’ll get videos from swimming coaches showing the best technique, as well as news, photos and articles to inspire you.

Daily Yoga

Beginner to advanced yogis will find hundreds of classes plans and asanas on the Daily Yoga app. Step-by-step instructions guide you through every movement, and you’ll also learn how to master challenging poses like the full splits and shoulder stands safely.

Nike Run Club

The Nike Run Club app is a great app for runners of all types. It links with music and also provides guided audio runs. In addition to basic stats like pace, elevation and distance, the aesthetic of the app is appealing and is easy to navigate.

Map My Run by Under Armour

  • Running

Map My Run, designed by Under Armour, offers millions of different running routes to choose from. The app reads out split pace and average pace. You can also post a little picture each time you run, which is a fun feature.

Cyclemeter GPS

  •   Cycling

It is packed with features, including maps, graphs, splits, intervals, zones, training logs and announcements, making it a very powerful cycle computer. It is simple to use and will map out your preferred route, monitor live statistics, check time remaining and the distance biked while you are pedalling.

Swim4Gold

Compete against the world’s best swimmers by simply logging your time for a specific event and you will be able to compare your time to them and claim your virtual medal.

Yoga Studio

This all-in-one yoga and meditation app features over 130 videos and meditations ranging from five to 60 minutes. A carefully curated selection means you can always find the right class, and the app also lets you build your own classes, pose by pose. Quickly search classes based on intensity, ability and duration, or browse the featured collections.
